''Sajan'' is a 1969 Indian Bollywood film directed by Mohan Segal. It stars Manoj Kumar and Asha Parekh in pivotal roles. It became a hit at the box office.〔http://www.boxofficeindia.co.in/worth-their-weight-in-gold/〕
The film was Shatrughan Sinha's debut in Hindi movies.
The first half of the movie is inspired by 1951 movie Happy Go Lovely which has also inspired movies like Ghajini (2008 film) and Pasand Apni Apni.
The second half is largely inspired from the 1937 play I Killed the Count, of which there were several film, radio and television adaptations, including a 3 episode (Episode 25 - 27) story from Alfred Hitchcock Presents Season 2.
